Request for Proposals

April 1, 2024 The Nampa Chamber of Commerce is requesting proposals for VisitNampa.org as required by state law. The chamber receives funding through the Idaho Travel Council grant program. We are requesting a written proposal and samples of work at this time. The primary requirement is to build a website optimized for engagement on all commonly used devices. The objective of the website is to attract travelers to Nampa, with a focus on encouraging them to stay in the city. The website should follow the existing website navigation, content, and site structure. The preferred method for building the website is WordPress, with a custom theme and native structures throughout. Core deliverables must include WCAG 2.1 “A” compliance, site search, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager integration, and Google translate. Design deliverables include an enhanced events page with more listings per page. API creation will be necessary to pull events daily from the Ford Idaho Center API. The Visit Nampa team will provide a contact from the Ford Idaho Center to work with. Feature deliverables include a partner portal for users to register for a member account where they can submit events and business listings. User registration and posts must be approved by an admin. Additional deliverables include an interactive map to display all business listings and form capability for media and general inquiries. Please include the proposed duration of the project in your proposal. The project should begin by June 1, 2024 and take no more than 5 months to complete.
