TRAVEL ALERT — Canyon County, including Nampa, is in Reopening Stage 4 until all health and safety criteria and requirements addressed in the protocols have been met.
In Stage 4, businesses opening their doors should have an operational plan in place to mitigate the risk of spreading COVID-19 in compliance with the Governor’s Protocols for Stage 4 Opening. The state will remain in Stage 4 until all health and safety criteria and requirements addressed in the protocols have been met. While we understand and appreciate the desire to travel and enjoy Idaho’s great outdoors, we ask that all visitors maintain physical distancing, practice regular handwashing, and wear face coverings when social distancing is not possible. Travelers at greater risk of getting sick and those with people at greater risk of getting sick in the household should continue to use care and self-isolate to the best of their ability. In Stage 4, gatherings can occur where appropriate physical distancing and precautionary measures are observed. Restaurants continue to offer take-out and indoor dining is available where social distancing and sanitary protocols are in place. Accommodations (hotels, campgrounds, vacation rental properties, etc.) utilizing enhanced cleaning and social distancing protocols are welcoming guests. As you plan your travels, please contact destinations, event organizers, and businesses directly for information on access and any visitor safety protocols that might be in place.

Social Distancing and Sanitation Requirements
Individuals not residing within the same household shall maintain at least six-foot physical distancing from other individuals whenever possible.
Individuals should:
- Wash hands with soap and water for at least twenty seconds as frequently as possible or use hand sanitizer.
- Cover coughs or sneezes (into the sleeve or elbow, not hands).
- Wear face coverings while in public, especially when six-foot distancing is not always possible (e.g., inside businesses).
- Stay home if sick.
